Welcome to Rowen

Back in December, the original draft of the 2023 Lost Ark Roadmap detailed that February will be getting a fully new Continent. This time, the mysterious and war-torn island of Rowen has surfaced, slightly to the west of Shushire. A forgotten civilization once thrives about the shores of Rowen, due to the abundance of a natural resource found only here called Sylmael. A recent resurgence of explorers about the island is responsible for the Sylmael being coveted once more. This time, it offers drawn different groups towards the shores of Rowen and it has even ignited a war despite the demonic threat looming in the citizens of Arkesia.

At the minute, two major factions have stood above the rest: the mechanically adept Preigelli plus the mage and pirate collective with the Libertine.

A New World Ahead

The fate of Rowen, Sylmael, and each creation yet again lies within the hands of the heroes of Arkesia. Characters that may have achieved at the very least item level 1445 (that should be quite easy now due to the number of Express Pass events lately) can set sail to Rowen.

Players will likely need to complete the main quest called “Cataclysmic Eliyabeck”. Afterward, they must choose one faction to represent on their time in Rowen. Preigelli believes that “Order defeats Chaos every time” as you move the Libertine group lives by their code, “Take as almost as much as you can”.

Most of the areas in Rowen look PVP-enabled, with one faction being completely hostile to the opposing one. It will likely be interesting to determine how Smilegate and Amazon Games will be able to balance both the warring entities then it will regularly be fun for both sides.

Each faction should have 15 different tiered ranks that players can climb through. They can advance by gaining Faction XP by killing members of the opposing faction, or various daily quests and also other tasks. The full-on war between both groups won't start until March, unfortunately.

Lost Ark's Western release is nearly 1 year old. Worldwide, the sport has been able to find over 20 million players enthusiastic about the title.
